New K-Drama ‘Ms. Incognito’ Aims for ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ Success
The cast and crew of Genie TV’s new original drama, “Ms. Incognito,” have high hopes for the series, aiming to surpass the record-breaking viewership of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo.” The show is described as a “comprehensive gift set” of genres, blending romance, crime, comedy, and human drama.
Plot and Characters
The story centers on Bu Se-mi (played by Jeon Yeo-bin), a working-class bodyguard who agrees to a contract marriage with a terminally ill conglomerate chairman. In exchange for a new life, she takes on a new identity for three months, fending off greedy relatives vying for the fortune.
- Jeon Yeo-bin plays a dual role: Kim Young-ran, a woman hardened by her past, and her undercover persona as a cheerful kindergarten teacher. This is her first title role, a responsibility she says she approached with sincerity.
- Model-turned-actor Jang Yoon-ju plays Ga Sun-young, the chairman’s calculating stepdaughter and a theater professor. She expressed a deep emotional connection to her character, hoping the show surpasses the 17.5% rating of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo.”
- Jin Young portrays a single father who develops a romance with Jeon Yeo-bin’s character.
Production and Premiere
Director Park Yoo-young (“The Kidnapping Day”) expressed confidence in the project, highlighting the drama’s mix of genres and the cast’s talent. He hopes the series achieves double-digit ratings through positive word-of-mouth.
“Ms. Incognito” premieres on the ENA channel at 10 p.m. on Monday.
