From September 15-21, the series attracted 6.5 million views, significantly outpacing the Spanish runner-up, “Billionaires’ Bunker,” which had 3.7 million views.
The drama follows a modern-day French chef, played by Lim Yoon-ah, who time-travels to the Joseon era. There, she becomes a cook for King Yi Heon, played by Lee Chae-min, in an effort to win her freedom. After debuting at No. 4 on the chart, the show climbed to the top spot in its third week.
