His mission takes an unexpected turn when he is summoned by Ka-young (Suzy), a young woman who is emotionally detached and has been raised to suppress her psychopathic tendencies. Genie offers her three wishes, fully expecting her to use them for selfish purposes.
Instead of falling for his temptations, the impassive Ka-young challenges his entire worldview. She proposes a “best-of-five” bet to determine the true nature of humanity. If Genie wins, she will not only use all her wishes but will also forfeit her life. If she wins, the powerful lamp becomes hers. - Noh Sang-hyun of “Pachinko” fame appears as Soo-hyun, Genie’s brother and rival, also known as the “Angel of Death.”
- Ko Kyu-pil, known for his role in “The Roundup: No Way Out,” portrays Genie’s assistant, a jaguar spirit living in human form.
